Køge Tropical Bird Club (KTBC) was founded December 13th, 1934, and is one of the oldest tropical bird clubs in Denmark.

KTBC has approximately 200 members, and is one of the largest tropical bird clubs in Denmark.

The goal of KTBC is to spread out knowledge about how to keep and raise tropical birds in captivity.

This goal is reached by arranging meetings for the members where speakers will give talks about relevant topics e.g. food, breeding, illness, building of aviaries, but also descriptions of trips to areas where the birds that we keep in captivity lives.

Furthermore will KTBC arrange other activities - trips to, and visits from, Danish and foreign birdkeepers/bird clubs, social events as well as our two largest and most famous events, the big "Køge Tropical Bird Club Bird Market" in February, where it is possible to buy and sell most kind of birds, and bird related things like bird food etc. - the next Bird Market is Sunday 26th of February 2012 in Køgehallerne - and the annual "Køge Tropical Bird Club bird exhibition", in 2012 the 19th - 21st of October, also in Køgehallerne.
